I just installed the latest driver (3.12.2) for my Spacepilot and the zoom function is not working in a 3D PDF in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended (version 9.4.1). I am running these programs on Windows 7 x64. I checked that dominant axis is not turned on and that the check boxes for the zoom are checked. Is this a known bug or is there some setting that I’m missing? Thanks!

Acrobat 3D not zooming
Hello Nick -
It sounds like the Adobe plugin may not be installed. Try adding it by using the Repair function in Add/Remove Software with your internet brower and Acrobat. [Windows ControlPanel- Programs and Features– 3Dconnexion – Change|Repair]
A manual method for adding the plugin is also shown here. Using the manual method, you will need to locate the plug_ins folder for your Acrobat installation - usually under C:\Program Files\Adobe... or C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe... .
With the plugin installed, when you open the 3Dconnexion Control panel with the Windows cursor in an open PDF, the profile name shown at the top of the window will be 3DxAdobe3d.

Acrobat 3D Not Zooming
Hello Nick -
A few questions :
If the 3D model was imported from a .DWG or .DWF file ,have you tried other 3D file types? Is the zoom function available in a text PDF file? Does changing the zoom direction in the 3Dconnexion Control Panel have an effect with 3D models ?

The file I am trying to rotate and zoom was exported as a parasolid out of Solidworks 2010 assembly file and then imported into Acrobat and saved a PDF. I tried opening a text PDF file and the zoom function works there. When I try changing the zoom direction, it just changes the way the models pans up and down with no zoom function. The models seems to rotate and pan best when the zoom direction is set to forward and back, just without the zoom function actually working.
