3DS Max settings GONE with driver update

Hey,

I've updated to the latest drivers for my Space Pilot Pro/Win 7 64bit.

While I still have my profiles within the control panel, my button settings are GONE. Seeing that there is no save/load settings capability it looks like I have to yet again redo all my button settings.

What's up with that?

Hi Bumper,

I don't know which was the previous version you had installed before you updated the driver. But from 3DxSoftware 3.11.1 to version 3.11.2 there were major changes in the plugin for 3dsmax. Thus we had to clear existing configurations to avoid problems. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank for your reply. Eh, I guess you have to break some eggs to make an omelet.

I eagerly await version 4 and the "profile save/load" function that has been promised. I prefer my omelet mix pre-made.

The driver configurations were not deleted. After launching Max, open the 3Dconnexion Control Panel and you should find the old configuration in the pull-down menu box.

Hey ngomes - thank you for your reply. Unfortunately while the profile I made does indeed exist, it's button assignments have been reset to the default 3DS settings.

This is the case on my machine at work and at home.

In regards to what version I updated from. I updated to the newest from about two REVs ago.
