Hi,
I don't know if I'm missing something or not, but I frequently use 3dsMax version 9 for creating models to sell online (I use the older version for forward compatibility so more people can use the models, not just those using max 2010 or 11 and newer).
When using orthographic viewports, as soon as I navigate anywhere, whether it be zoom or pan, the viewport becomes a User view, and I can no longer create new geometry primitives in that viewport. The SpacePilot doesn't behave this way in max 2010 or 2011. If I'm in a Front viewport and I navigate, it remains a Front viewport. In max9, it will go from Front to User. I have the most recent driver installed. Is this a known issue?
Thanks!

Hi John,
yes, there is a difference in the plugin for the older and newer versions of the 3dsmax software. We are aware of it and try to fix all issues, but this is not always possible due to different external preconditions.
