How to reset a Space Explorer

Does anyone know how to reset a SpaceExplorer? I had a support rep tell me how to hold down certain buttons to reset the controller once, when the lights went off and the device was non responsive. Worked like a charm, but I apparently didn't save the email that contained this golden information.

Unplug the device.
Hold down 1,2 button
While holding down the buttons plug the device back into the usb port
count to 15
release the buttons.
Next start the driver
