I am a university student that is trying to use a SpacePilot Pro at school but the computers don't allow students to complete any administrative tasks (e.g. installations, registry editing, even manual driver installations, driver updates, or system directory editing). So now I have this nice mouse but I can't use it on CATIA V5R19 which is only at school (which was the entire reason for purchasing a 3D mouse in the first place).
My main question is: is there any way to use the SpacePilot Pro mouse on a Windows 7 Professional 64bit computer without installing the 3Dx software and still somehow install the drivers in a way that Windows Update (or whatever program Windows 7 uses to find the drivers online and install them automatically) will automatically find the drivers and install them for me?
Using SpacePilot Pro in Win 7 64bit without installations?

Request Your IT Support to Add our Drivers to their system.
Dear blueboy499,
You need to contact your schools IT support and ask them to include our drivers on their computers. Our current release version is 3DxSoftware 3.13.0. They may easily download it from our Driver Download Page under the Service menu on www.3dconnexion.com
Sincerely,
Bryan g.

The more things change, the more they remain the same. ; ^ )
