Space navigator does not run after restarting the computer

Post by bdvries »

Hello,

I have installed my space navigator. The first time i used it, it run perfect.

After I restart the computer the 3d Mouse was not working. The driver was not working. And I'm not able to start the driver.

I use windows7 64 bit. After a bit of work, i found out that after a restart, there is a unkown device ( 3d mouse) in the device manager.
When i uninstall this device and shift the USB connector to an other slot, the mouse is working again.

How can i enable the 3d mouse automaticly after a restart of the computer?

Hallo bdvries,

what is the PID of your device?

We had a report in the past where the problem was that the BIOS of the machine was too old and an update of the BIOS fixed the issue.

Please post here if this helps in your situation, too or if you need further assistance.

The BIOS version and date is:

BIOS Version/Date Intel Corp. MQ96510J.86A.1754.2008.1117.0002, 11/17/2008

I should be the latest bios.

I tried two other computers. one with the same bios, and the 3d mouse was not working and one with an other bios. On that computer, the mouse worked.

Is this the probleme, if so, what is de solution?

An other colleague has the same problem with the 3c mouse.
He had an other Bios version than I have. So the problem is not typical due to the bios version I had.

After installation it worked, but after restarting the computer it did not work.
The blue leds are burning....

Hello bdvries,

I don't know if there is a fix for this in the BIOS update, but your version is 1754 and the latest version is 1761.

What is the version of your colleague's BIOS?

Do you know the version of the BIOS of the machine where the 3D mouse worked after reboot?

The bios version was up to date for my intel model. Intel does not update my motherbord.

The update You suggested is for an other type intel model.

With your software update (beta version), i was able to update my 3dconnexion software and it works fine since.

kind regards and thanks for the cooperation
