Problem with Windows 7 and Catia and 3DxWare

Post by Bryndek »

Hello!

Couple days ago my company moved from Windows XP 32 and 64 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. We are working on Catia V5R19 and we noticed that when we start 2 catias we got 3DxWare crash. We need to close 3DxWare and start it again. This is a little bit anoying so we are looking for solution.

System: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
3DxWare 3.14.2
Driver Version 6.14.0
Firmware version 4.20

We got this problem on all computer with Space pilots and space navigators.

Hello Bryndek -

This faq explains that the Catia executable needs to be added as an exception in your firewall software.

Catia has integrated the support for 3D devices inside their application. If you still see the problem after adding the firewall exception, accept at the prompt to create a 3dxware.dmp file and let us know.
