No keyboard Shortcut assigned

Post by deefield »

Hi I am using Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 64 bit and get this '' No keyboard shortcut assigned for 3DxPhotoshop ..'' message everytime I start Photoshop, which annoyingly hangs for 20 secs before I can do anything.. I have tried setting the shortcut as instructed to no avail. I found this link ( for Vista, although the file is in the same place )
For Vista
1) Go to C:\Users\{your user name}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Adobe Photoshop CS3 Settings
2) Look for a file called "Keyboard Shortcuts.psp" in your localized language
3) Make a copy of this file and call it "Keyboard Shortcuts.psp". Store this copy in the same directory.

This doesnt seem to make sense or work i.e copying a file, calling it the same name, and saving it in the same folder creates the file with "2" or "copy" addended filename.

Any further ideas would be appreciated.

No keyboard Shortcut assigned

Hi -

With the update to CS5.1 and CS5.5 the internal changes in Photoshop have caused the shortcut assignment that worked correctly in Photoshop CS5 to no longer link to the 3DxPhotoshop plug-in.This will need to be corrected in an update to the plug-in.

The shortcut only controls the ability to change the Photoshop brush size by twisting the SpaceNavigator cap - it is not needed for navigation. Are you still able to pan and zoom in Photoshop ?

Hi Barbara. Thanks for your reply. Until the update is sorted is there any way to disable the plugin from activating, so I dont get the warning , as it takes a long time to click off ? Regards David

Hi David -

Unfortunately there is not a way to turn off just that portion of the plug-in. If the plug-in is disabled it removes the navigation in Photoshop.

Hi
I'm also getting the same problem with PS CS5.5, annoying pop-up and no brush size adjustment. but I can still navigate. Could you say when the update is likely to be with this fix?
(currently 3.14.2)
thks

Hi Simon -

Driver releases are posted on our download page on the day they become available and are not pre-announced. The Release Notes .PDF for the driver lists issues that have been addressed and plugins that have been updated. You would need to check back on the download page to see when a new driver is released.

We are a few moths further.
Is there finally a solution for the annoying pop-up?
