I HAVE JUST GOTTEN THIS DEVICE THIS MORNING, SO IF THIS IS A SILLY QUESTION I AM SORRY. I HAVE NOT FOUND THE ANSWER ON THIS WEBSITE OR AUTODESK'S WEBSITE. USING THE DEMOS THE SYSTEM WORKS VERY WELL, SO THE PROBLEM IS PROBABLY IN AUTOCAD.
IN AUTODESK AUTOCAD MECHANICAL 2011 EVERYTHING WORKS WELL, EXCEPT THER IS NO ROLL (ROLL ACTS AS ANOTHER YAW). I UNDERSTAND 3DCONNEXION DOES NOT SUPPORT ISSUES WITH AUTODESK AUTOCAD 2011 AND NEWER, BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET ANY RESOLUTION THROUGH AUTODESK'S VERSION OF FREE SUPPORT. I BET THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND I HOPE THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO HAS THE FIX FOR ME.
Autocad added there own Popup menu for the 3Dconnexion devices for 2011, 2012.
You can enable/disable it in the navbar.
Enable 3DConnection if not already
Now open the Popup window and make sure you have:
Pan, Zoom, Orbit enabled.
What mode is Roll not working in?
2D, 3D?
Please provide any addtional detail so we can better answer your question.
I have nto tried it in 2D mode. The problem is in the 3D mode.
3Dconnexion is enabled in the navbar.
is the pop-up menu you refer to the 3Dconnexion Control Panel? If yes all is set-up and working perfectly in their demos. If not, where do I find the pop-up window you refer to?
When I click on the link to your document, iexplorer returns an error "Unable to locate webpage" could this be firewall related? Thank you for your continued help.
lt was the link to download the actual .pdf file
I just fixed the link i forgot the f at the end of .pdf
Ill send you a private message and include a link to a website that has the photo of the navbar and what the Autocad popup window looks like.
It look similar to our 3Dconnexion control panel...
