Space Pilot Pro button configuration issue

Post by Robert_rodd »

I just installed my SpacePilot Pro. It looks great and it works exactly as it looks. Unfortunately, I found an issue when trying to configure the buttons on the controller to work with Autocad 2011 commands. I was able to assign all of the desired functions, but when I close the program (Autocad) and reopen it the SpacePilot forgets 2 of the keys I had previously saved and it assigns other commands to those two buttons. I have save it several times, I have also updated the 3DConnexion software but the problem persists. I am running Windows Vista and Autocad 2011 as I mentioned above.

Can you please help me solve this issue?

Plug-In Button Mapping Editors have a Higher Priority

Post by Bryan »

Dear Robert_rodd,

Where are you mapping your Buttons, in the 3Dconnexion Control Panel, or in the AutoCAD Button Mapping Editor? You would want to map your buttons in the AutoCAD Button Mapping Editor, as this is given a higher priority and would overwrite settings in the 3Dconnexion Control Panel.

You would also want to make sure you have "Automatically Save Configurations" checked on under the 'Options' Menu in the 3Dconnexion Control Panel.

Sincerely,
Bryan
