Hi MechEng13,

have you had the security software off just during installation? Or as well when using the device?

We have had reports were a re-install of SolidWorks helped. I have to admit that the issue the users had was a different one, but maybe you can solve the problem on your machine with a new installation of SolidWorks?

Uta,

The latest go around had the security software off during installation, it is on while I am using the machine.

As far as a SW reinstall, I can talk to IT about it. There are been some other glitchy things happening on my box so we may end up doing a clean wipe and install of everything.

A clean removal and reinstall of SW was no help at all, I am still seeing the graphic glitches....

Any new ideas???

It really looks like an issue with the graphic card or the graphic card driver.

What graphic card do you have? And what driver? Did you use the recommended driver from your hardware manufacturer or from the graphic card manufacturer?

You could as well try to tweak the graphic settings in SolidWorks to see if that makes a difference.

Uta,

I am running an Nvidia Quadro FX5800 video card with driver 270.90. It was the latest approved driver for Solidworks. I generally stick with video drivers that have been tested and approved for Solidworks.

MechEng13,

I too see these glitch but I have only just started using a SpaceNavigator on my Win7 64bit machine, and like you I am also using SW2012. My issue however is actual getting the little fella to connect or stay connected, the glitches I put down to it not functioning as it should do yet?

not much help to you but more to let you know I have similar issues on what are similar setup's

regards
