pro_engineer Wildfire 5

Post by sinjin »

Hi, i have been using the Space pilot for some time and just purchased the Space pilot pro.
One issue which still seems to be there...and i have no idea if its the Space pilot or not...
But if i'm working in one window on a particular model it can just sit there frozen and not move. If i go back to the original assembly (original window) i started from ...move it just a tiny amount. I can there go to whatever i want to work on and its fine and free to move.
In the frozen window i have tried to regenerate the model, active the model, whatever you can think of... Are others having this issue and if so did you find a fix.
TIA Sinjin

Hi sinjin,

the support for the 3D mouse was implemented into ProE WF by PTC. Please file a bug report at PTC about this problem. It would be nice if you share information (e.g. bugnumber) here.

Thanks,

Sorry to ask a sill question with the new sapce pilot pro..
Top left corner of the devive you have the 4 arrows with the ok key in the middle.
Just below that set of keys are 2 functions 1 being a a square and the other is an arrow pointing to the left?? CAn someone tell me the function behind the arrow key?? Its a stand alone key.
TIA Steven.

I think this device is actually my 4th in total so i have been using them for quite some time.. Only had the pro going for a couple of days.

Arrow Keys
Are used for the LCD navigation. For example, on the home screen, press the down key to;
Select the next item in the list. Press left or right to move through lists arranged
horizontally.

You can download the Spacepilot PRO brochure from this link:

Hi Fred and thks for replying...the arrow key i'm referring to too is the stand alone key just below the grouped arrow keys. The arrow is pointing to the left.
I can't seem to find its function and also can't find reference to it anywhere.

Hi sinjin,

that arrow key brings you back from one of the applets you enter with the little "OK" button. For example if you enter the Mail applet you can go back to your home view (lists available applets) with the little left arrow.
