Looking for mgldrv.exe 4.71

Hello everyone,

Im looking for this driver for my old spacemouse3d serial. I know somebody get it work on windows 7 with this driver but he have the version 3.0.
I have try it with mine its work but not the button. So i was thinking maybe with the last version so 4.71 maybe its will working better.

If anyone has this file can you please dens it to me, its will save my day and more.

Sorry, there is no support for Windows 7 using the Serial devices.
Support ended in December 2006.

I know that Fred, but i have the mglr 4.60 and my spacemouse plus serial is working but not all the button. Im on Win7 X64. I was just thinking maybe with the last version 4.71. Its was the driver for the Magellan 3D reference product 950522-00. I think I'm not the only one in this case. I know you are going to tell me its not support anymore.......

''If the device is connected to serial port #1 and the driver from the distribution CD is used, after restarting the computer, the Magellan driver is unable to start. To fix the problem, download driver v4.71 from Logicad3D's website.''. But logicad doesn't exist anymore.

Maybe you, you have this driver in your data or backup.

Someone posted somewhere on the forum, I think it was over the holidays, where he was able to get the old driver to work on x64. I read through it rather quickly. It seemed like a lot of work, but he claims he got it working.

We had to do A LOT of work to get everything to work smoothly once Vista came along.

Which application are you trying to use it with? Which two buttons do you get?

I'm using siemens NX. For resume my device work under win7 64bit. But I cannot map the button its normal because there is no add-in. The button 6.7.8 are working. For the other I have made some shortcut on the keyboard. Thanks and its will be nice if one day somebody does something. Because its not really normal the sentence ''its a old product so no support buy a new one.....'' when you buy a car and the production is finish you can still find the piece 10 years later. Anyway I know you didnt do it and its normal because its was magelan. But you should think about this for some product with the serial port because they are still working and its stupid to put the device in the trash.......

You shouldn't need to use the old Magellan driver. You should be able to use an old 3DxWare driver from our archive site. That still may not do you any good. As mentioned before, trying to run an old driver on W7x64 is a challenge. Microsoft constantly moves forward, especially in security measures.

Even if you could use the old 3DxWare driver, it would be quite an old driver relative to what we are shipping today. I doubt any NX plugin we made way back then would work with the newer version of NX.

Things relentlessly progress forward. It is quite a challenge to keep up with the changes made in the operating systems and in the applications.
