maybe someone hit the same problem and found a solution!?
Space navigator Google Earth !
It worked fine within version 5.--- and slow net connection.
Now I have 6.2 and 50000kbit/s and the response of ge is soooo slow, it even stucks! Did several new installations, no success! But on W 7 the device works correct! Any solutions? Thanks!

You have likely already checked that it is enabled in GE or it wouldn't be responding in the app at all.[GoogleEarth,Tools, Options, Navigation-Non Mouse Controller]
The next thing to check is the profile settings for GoogleEarth. Even though you have re-installed , the profile settings remain unless you do a clean install and remove profile folders and registry keys.
With GoogleEarth open and having the SpaceNavigator focus, open the 3Dconnexion Properties window and choose choose "Restore all Defaults". A dialog box will warn that you are removing all changes you have made to the configuration. That is useful in case there is an unnoticed change - for instance to the speed of an axis direction. Check back in GoogleEarth and you should find normal navigation speed available.
If it still seems slower than you prefer you can increase the Overall Speed slider on the Device Configuration tab.
