Photoshop CS6 Issue?

Post by JavierArteaga »

Hi! I try today the CS6 version of PS and dra the 3dconnexion plug-in from cs5 plugin folder to cs6´s. Zoom works good, but when I try to move PS goes crazy and move the document outside from screen
Is a CS6 plugin planned? I can´t find this problem reported before, so I don´t know if it only affects me or this is a bug.
Thank You!

CS6 is not currently supported.
The prgrammers are working on the current addin to address changes in the application.
There is currently no time frame of when the addon will be released.

I had moreorless the same problem. Thanks for the clarification that Photoshop CS6 is a beta version. In fact I was not aware of this. Cheers.

Any update to this, I bought the SpacePilot Pro hoping to use it with cs6. And while I'm at it, can we get hardware rotation build into the driver? Would like to use this with my wacom alone, and bypass the keyboard altogether.

The new CS6 driver doesn't work very well. Its terribly jerky during zooming. Panning up & down doesn't work at all no matter how i configure it.
I tried the plugin under the beta 12 drivers but it didn't work at all, I only got keyboard or 2d mouse functions to work. 3d Mouse functions were all dead.

I've always been confused over these beta drivers. Are they ever going to become the main driver version or are they some third party spin off drivers? I prefer Beta 12 over v3-15-6.
3.15 isn't really an option. They are too limited.

Yes, it was nice to see the update right after I asked what was going on, it is definitely not silky smooth yet though. Even at maximum speed settings. Hopefully you will continue to tune it.

Hi Runwaypimp,

We are aware of a performance degration with pan and zoom in CS6. This is internal tracked with reference #6062. We're working with Adobe to see if we can go back to the level of performance we have in CS5.

3DxWare 10 is 3Dconnexion's next generation driver software. It is very much our own product and, with time, will replace the older code (distributed in 3DxSoftware). We're updating 3DxWare 10 Beta to add CS6 support in the next few days.
I prefer Beta 12 over v3-15-6.
Same here.

Just to bring some closure to this issue. The fix to bug 6062 was included in Beta 14 (released in early August).

Go to our 3dxlabs page and download the 3.16.0 Beta 1 driver it has the improved CS6 add-in .

http://www.3dconnexion.com/labs

Beta 1 adds support for SolidWorks 2013 Beta and improves the performance of pan-and-zoom in Photoshop CS6. Otherwise, the release is identical to 3DxSoftware v. 3.15.6, the latest officially supported software for Windows.
