SpacePilot Pro Not Detected.

Post by bisnis3d »

Hi.

I installed the latest version of the driver in my laptop Winx64 (3DxSoftware64SPP_v3-15-4_r1248) to work with 3ds Max v2013 while I'm out of the office and since I've installed it, windows does not recognize my 3DMouse.
With this version (3DxSoftware64SPP_v3-15-3_r1244) work's perfectly, but I don't have the possibility to use it in 3ds max 2013.

Solved in 2 minutes!!!
I only need to start the 3Dconnexion driver manually...

Start--->All Programs--->3Dconnexion--->Driver--->Start Driver

Now not work the applets in LCD...

I think is a problem in Logitech LCD MAnager version.
Actually I have 3.06.109 (8/3/2010), but I can't find a newer version.
Anyone have a newer version of Logitech LCD Manager.

Thank's

You have the current Logitech LCD manager driver that comes with the driver.

The 3Dconnexion software [3dxsrv.exe] normally auto-starts the Logitech software. If the Logitech LCD Manager is not starting - indicated by no display on the LCD - it may be blocked by security software on the PC.

If screen is blank or black, the display is turned off and can be turned on using the 'gear' button on the upper right corner of the SpacePilotPRO. If the display was working then stopped you can usually re-start it by un-plugging the USB cable and plugging it back in. The display should say 'Initializing...'

The LCD is controlled by Logitech LCD Manager. You should find a folder for it in your Start menu and - if it is running - an icon for it in your System Tray. When the Logitech LCD Manager is not running, only the picture of the SpacePilotPRO is displayed. If only the picture of the SpacePilotPRO is displayed, you may need to create the permission in your security software to allow the 3Dconnexion software and the Logitech manager to run. If you see the Logtech Manager display on the LCD, then the security software is set correctly to allow it to run.

If the Logitech Manager is not displaying on the LCD:

1. Check the Logitech LCD Manager 'Programs' section to be sure there are check marks in the columns for 'Enabled' and 'SpacePilotPRO' both columns for each applet that you want to display on the LCD. You may need to scroll to the right to view the 'SpacePilotPRO' column.

2. C\ check your security|firewall software to check that LCDMon.exe and 3dxsrv.exe ‘Permitted’ or 'Allowed'. There is typically an area for exclusions in this type of software where you can tell it to exclude a software executable from its restrictions.

The default location of 3dxsrv.exe is C:-->Program Files-->3Dconnexion-->3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware-->3DxWare-->3dxsrv.exe and the location of the executable for the SpacePilotPro LCD Manager is C:-->Logitech-->GamePanel Software-->LCD Manager-->Applets-->LCDmon.exe.

Software that has both anti-virus and firewall components may need exceptions in both. If you are using BitDefender - Add the 3dxserv.exe process to the Exclusions in BitDefender -> Expert Mode -> Antivirus module -> Advanced Settings.

Also check that the SpacePilotPRO is connected directly to a USB port on your PC - not to a hub, dock or adapter.

Thank's Fred for Reply.

I unnistall 3.15.4 version, cclean the registry entrys, restart PC, install v3.15.3 and the same problem.

I try to put in exclusions in my nod32 av, and not works. The driver don't start, and my 3dconexion control panel not runs, lcd manager runs well but not the 3dmouse.
The blue light in my spacepilot pro not start... because the driver not start. I try to start the driver manually but not work.
The mouse is conected in to a usb port in my laptop, not in a USB hub.
My lcd screen only shows RSS feed, but I enable (tick in left and right) all applets in Logitech LCD Manager...

Unplug the Pro
While unplugged
Hold down the menu and fit button
While holding down the buttons, plug in the device directly to the pc not through a hug or monitor usb port.
Wait 15 seconds release the buttons.
Next launch the 3dx driver either by opening the 3dmouse home and properties or by going to start programs 3dconnexion driver start driver.

If the properties does not open or the driver doesnt start.
Go back to start driver
right click and choose properties.
select run as administrator
click save
then restart the driver

I follow the sequence, but not work. I run as administrator (my user as administrator too) but the start driver not work.
I need to unnistall all the software and 3d connexion drivers, clean the registry and start from 0.
Any software to unnistall all the 3dconnexion driver? or with the unnistaller self-clean the system?

Hi Fred.

I try the Spacepilot Pro in other computer with a clean driver instalation and it works perfectly. I try to use Revo Unnistaller software (freeware) to clean all my regitry about 3dconnexion driver and try to install my spacepilot pro.

The only way to solve the problem is format my laptop and install win7 from 0.
I work with a different software to clean registry and not work... the spacepilot pro works perfectly in my desktop PC but in my laptop not works.
I try to format in a few days, but I cross my fingers when the next driver will not cause this same problem on my windows 7.
