When I'm using a USB extension cable (1.6m) my space navigator isn't recognized. When I plug the space navigator directly into my computer there is no problem. I used also different USB cables also a shorter one. I tested it on Windows 7 - 64 Eng ( different PC’s) and on Vista 64. It seems that it works on a slower (older) PC but I could not test this on multiple older PC’s.
Anybody the same problem or solution.
Thanks,
KC

Re: "unknown device" with usb extension cable
Hi KC -
The 3Dconnexion devices require full USB power and are more sensitive to a slight reduction in power than standard mouse or other USB device would be. For this reason only direct connection to a USB port on a PC is supported.
