SpaceExplorer works until a reboot.

Post by Jurgen »

Hello,

I have a problem with a SpaceExplorer under Windows 7 x64. The problem is I can install the driver, after that I will be able to use it, but if I reboot or shutdown the workstation and put it on again, the Space Explorer doen't work any more.
We use Inventor 2012 to make 3D models of our revolving doors.

I tried serveral drivers, old ones, the latest one. I tried to get it work by using a SpaceNavigator instead of the Space Explorer, but nothing seems to work.
I also have made an exception in the AV software because of earlier error messages "s80trans.dll".

Sometimes I get no error message while the SpaceExplorer is not working, and Sometimes I get the "Can't load user interface" error message.

The only thing what is working is the blue light.....

I hope you can help me, because it has cost me to much time for installing a simple driver.

Hi Jurgen,

please do a complete uninstall and re-installation following the instructions in this FAQ. Let me know if the problem still exists. I am then interested in all error messages you get. (Before you do any changes to the installation. ;))

I was very hopefully with the solution you bring up, but unfortunately after rebooting the system the only thing that works is the blue light :(

The error message that I now get is: "Unable to load a User Interface"

Hi Jurgen,

have you had the beta driver (3DxWare 10.0.x) previously installed?

Can you see the device in the device manager? See here how to check this.

Ok here it comes. The user has rebooted his workstation 2 times, and all the problems seems to be gone for now.

I have shutdown the workstation after his 2 times reboot, and it still works. No error messages etc.

So it looks like it is working again.
