Hello - I'm new to this forum and new to 3Dconnexion. I have just purchased a SpaceNavigator. I have an unusual way that I'd like to use it, and I'm wondering if there is any available software that I can use for this purpose. Essentially, I don't want to use it for 3d navigation, at least not primarily so. I want a fixed camera, and I want to use it for 3d free hand drawing. I basically want to use it to place my "pen" in 3D space to free-hand draw a 3d object. It would be nice if the pen (or 3d cursor) would get bigger or smaller depending on it's relative distance to the camera.
Am I making sense? Is there any software available with this functionality?

Re: 3D Drawing
Dear kaublezw,
I've not run into any software that operates this way.
Sincerely,

The more things change, the more they remain the same. ; ^ )
Re: 3D Drawing
You can use a 3D mouse "spin" axis to control the brush size in Adobe Photoshop but it won't move the actual brush around.
It may be possible to do what you want by experimenting with the 3DxWare 10 driver: it allows you to map mouse events (which would control the brush position). If that works then, by leaving the spin axis mapping unchange, then it ought to possible to move the brush and change the brush size using only the 3D mouse.
3DxWare 10 is freely available from the Labls page linked here.
