Inventor Hang Up With Spacepilot Pro

A coworker of mine has the EXACT same setup as I do. Dell Precision M6700, brand new Spacepilot Pro with 3.16.1 (Driver 6.16.0), firmware 4.11 running Inventor Pro 2013. Every time he opens a new part, Inventor takes FOREVER. If he does the same with the Spacepilot unplugged, it's very quick. It seems like it's having trouble pulling the part properties to the LCD display. Mine does not have this issue. Any ideas?

Hmmm... Pulling the part properties may take a long time, yes, but the code should only do that upon request by the user (to refresh the LCD applet).

Does it only happen when creating a new part? Or does it follow specific documents?
