PDF Conflict with

Post by RobH »

Whenever I click on a PDF to open in locally or via a web page I get the following error: "3DxWare driver is already running." I checked and PDFs are properly registerd to Acrobat. I've installed the latest drives with the "Update Wizard."

After that click, the PDF will finally open in about 3 minutes.

If your using OSX, Adobe has been making alot of changes recently and it could be an issue with the securitly feature blocking how are addin loads.

Re: PDF Conflict with 3DxWare

Post by RobH »

Thanks for the comment. I was holding your solution in my back pocket. I was hoping to be able to fix it by relinking a file or changing permissions. I've been in the middle of a very long render (over 3 days) and didnt' want to reboot. That's why I posted. I wanted to see if there was any solution short of reinstalling.

My render finished this morning and I did an uninstall and clean reinstall. That did not fix the problem at first. I had the same error again. So, I uninstalled Acrobat and 3DxWare (again) and rebooted and reinstalled xWare first and Acrobat second. That fixed the problem. I hope this helps anyone else with the issue as it solved it for me.

Re: DLL s80trans.dll Conflict with Adobe Acrobat

Post by dgbowman »

Just a quick note... Window 7 x64, After upgrading software for SpacePilot Pro to 16.1 the message "could not load transport DLL s80trans.dll" began popping up each time I tried to start Adobe Acrobat Pro X. Found solution on this forum dated back in 2009 (I think) where the settings of 3Dconnexion are changed (control panel/Uninstall or change program/3Dconnexion/change/modify/select features)... uncheck unused or offending "add-Ins", "plug-in" and extensions then click next... quick, easy and effective!
