Hello,
Short version....
I use Autodesk Inventor and VBA, I have noticed since installing a Spacepilot Pro I can open the VBA environment and a second later Inventor will pop back up and cover the VBA environment, why is this happening?
Long version....
I received my Spacepilot Pro at the end of November 2012, installed it on a Windows 7 operating system. Having installed the driver I noticed Inventor's VBA environment would show and then almost immediately Inventor would show again, click VBA button in taskbar and it would appear, remain and keep focus this time. Windows 8 operating system install, I didn't really use Inventor and VBA enough to notice if the problem was occurring on Windows 8 or not. Reinstall Windows 7, problem again, Inventor's VBA environment pops up, and then almost immediately after Inventor shows up again, click button in taskbar.... sigh.
I'm new to the Spacepilot so I'm wondering if the terminology, the combination of Logitech LCD manager and spacepilot settings or plain old bug has me stumped here?
Logitech's LCD manager software has a list programs, currently I have four entries for Inventor, three of the Inventor entries are the same and one has an file entry in DOS style, why four entries and why the inconsistency?
I have selected all the entries for Inventor and unchecked "Allow program to Force itself to Foreground on Display", what is the purpose of this setting?

Hello Scott,
I haven't yet heard of such a problem with the SpacePilot PRO and Inventor. Maybe something got messed up on your machineß I would suggest you try a clean uninstallation and reinstall the driver then.

I have since receiving the device installed it onto Windows 7, the OS was installed at the beginning of September 12, the device was installed onto a windows 8 OS on the 15th December 12, and again onto a Windows 7 OS on the 17th December 12. I have installed the device onto 2 different fresh operating systems, Windows 7 and Windows 8. I didn't use the device much during my use of the Windows 8 operating system so I am not prepared to suggest the problem existed there. I have used the device for 2 weeks and now a month using Windows 7, I have noticed the same problem, the first time using a Windows 7 operating system the OS was at SP1, the OS was not updated due to Windows updates creating problems with VBA, a SpaceTraveler was used on this system, the second time on Windows 7, the fresh OS was updated with all Windows updates, no previous installations of 3DConnexion devices.
Let's assume the installation is good and everything installed correctly, I'm new to the Spacepilot so I don't understand the functionality or what should happen when I check/uncheck "Allow program to Force Itself to Foreground display", this is where I believe the problem is. Could you explain what this "Allow program to Force itself to Foreground display" will do for me?

For example, let's say there's the SPP display has Outlook on the foreground (displays shows one of the Outlook panels). If the option is active for Inventor, then the program (Inventor) will be able to replace the panel being shown by its own (and, in the process, pushing the Outlook applet panel to the background).
The option allows the corresponding program to switch the SPP display to show its own applet panel.Could you explain what this "Allow program to Force itself to Foreground display" will do for me?
