Hello nest89 -

The error "Could not load transport DLL mwmtrans.dll" occurs when there is either another program is using the file mwmtrans.dll or an anti-virus application is blocking it.

The 3Dconnexion software needs to be installed installed from a profile with full administrator privileges. If this is a network PC and you do not have full administrator rights, an IT tech would need to do the installation.

To resolve anti-virus conflicts you can create an exception in the anti-virus application settings for the driver executable - 3DxSrv.exe. [C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxWare\3dxsrv.exe]

We have seen conflicts with Bitdefender on Win7. If you have Bitdefender 2010, change your scanner settings to "Tolerant". If you have Bitdefender 2009, disable "IDS instrusion detection system" in advanced firewall options.

If you are installing the software from CD, you should instead download the current software from our web site at http://www.3dconnexion.com/support/downloads.php

Save the software to your PC then make sure you are logged in from an administrator profile.

To resolve the error " Could not load transport.." it is important to make sure all background applications are closed during the installation. One type of applications known to interfere in this way are programs to configure your standard mouse such as the MouseImp program. You need to turn the software off during the installation then you can turn it back on after the 3Dconnexion device is installed.

This type of background program can be turned off either from its SystemTray icon or using msconfig to temporarily prevent it starting.

Thank You,

Fred

Thank you very much for your prompt response.

I actually use a very useful program "MouseImp Pro Live!".
And it seems that the conflict arises because of this program.

I try 3DxWare 10.0.11 betta r1165 - no problem with MouseImp :)

I am getting this same error message (Cannot load transport DLL mwmtrans.dll).... I have updated to the newest driver (3DxSoftware64_v3-16-1_r1342.exe) that I downloaded from the 3DConnexion web site.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the driver... I am at a loss...

My system is ....
Windows 7-64bit
SolidWorks 2012-SP5.0
AutoCAD-LT 2013
Altium Designer

Please help me figure out why this will not load...

Regards,
Paul.

Well, it seems I have resolved my issue.

I uninstalled the driver, cleared the registry and rebooted.
Re installed that latest/greatest driver and all seems to be working so far.
