AutoCad 2011 command cancel interruption

SpaceNavigator
AutoCAD Mechanical 2011
Windows XP 32-bit

Whenever I am in the middle of a command and try to use the 3d mouse the command gets cancelled. I read a few forum topics already that say this is prevailant in AutoCAD 2011+ but I havent been able to find a solution yet. I dont use 3D modeling, so I'm only in 2D workspace, so the only tip to change to viewstyle to anything from 2D wireframe is useless. I changed the viewstyle and still nothing is different.

I don't understand how after this much time a solution to this VERY SERIOUS issue has not been found/made.

This very effectively makes my brand spanking new 3d mouse utterly useless and will have to send it back for a refund. At this rate using my old mouse is way faster.

BTW, I also noticed this issue in AutoCAD 2013 on Windows 7 64-bit. So I really don't understand if this is just a very rare issue to me or not enough people have complained because this is kind of rediculous.

Report your issue to Autocad. Since 2011 support has been added nativley in the application.
While there download and install the latest Autocad patches. The patch addressed some of the issue when using a 3Dconnexion device.
