HI,
I just bought the mouse but it seems not fully functioning. I can pan up-and-down, tilt, roll,... except Pan L/R. I calibrate it several time. Every time I touch the mouse, the model moves to the right and can NOT move back to center and left.
I have reinstalled the driver several times and upgrade my computer to windows 7 business version. My computer is AIO with x64. It works fine on my BENQ laptop, which is a five-year-old with window xp.
What happened?
Pan L/R not working

Make sure the device is plugged into the usb port not a hub or ext.
Do you have the current driver installed or the one from the CD?
If its off the CD please go to our site and download the current driver.
Uninstall the current driver
Next
Close all programs.
From your desktop
Open 3DMouse home
Click on Properties
At the top click on Options
Restore default
Next
Click on Calibrate and close
This will rezoero the mouse.
Next go to
Start , All programs, 3DConnexion
Demos
Click on the Jet demo
Test pan\Zoom, Tilt, Spin, Roll
If everything is working in the demo open your application and see what happens.
If you continue to see movement to the right.
Tell us what application, your using.

Re: Pan L/R not working
Fred,
I have tried your way but the jet still keeps moving to the right. Is there any good suggestion except "calibrate?"

Re: Pan L/R not working
Go back into the Properties and do a miscalibrate.
Rotate the device to the left while doing so click calibrate.
Release the puck then click calibrate one more time.
If it continues to rotate to the right
Try unplugging the device
Hold down both buttons
Plugin the device to the usb port while holding the buttons
after 10 -15 seconds release the butons and start the driver
Check and see if the device is now working.
Otherwise contact the helpdesk.

Contact the internal helpdesk.
Since its just on your Win 7 machine they'l have you try the clean install
http://www.3dconnexion.com/faq/28 on the pc or may have a firmware update depending on the device you have.

Fred,
Thanks for the help again. But, again, it still does not work.

Re: Pan L/R not working
chinghuang,
you need to contact the Technical Support of 3Dconnexion. They will do the necessary troubleshooting and replace the device if it is broken, but still under warranty. Here you find the contact details: http://www.3dconnexion.com/support.

Re: Pan L/R not working
Dear Uta,
Thanks for the advice. I had contacted your help deck and Mr. Andrei in US sent a replaced device to me as a RMA in an hour ago. Thanks to Andrei for his quick reply.
Unfortunately, it still does not work. The tea pot in your training program and my SketchUp model still drift to the right and I cannot move it back to the center or left side, even though I calibrate several times.
I noticed a description on paper box of the package and it is written, "the product is designed for Win XP and compatible with all Win 7 Editions." Currently, my computer is ASUS aio with Win 7 business version. Still cannot figure out what went wrong.
For now, I just put it in my storage room and hope some day in the future it will work out.
