Space Pilot Pro & SolidWorks 2013

Post by Vault172 »

Currently have a Space Pilot Pro on a Win7-64 machine with SolidWorks 2013. Recently my left program buttons (1-10) have started misbehaving. I have #2 set as "Mate", but when depressed it will change the view to a top view and then open the mate dialog. My #5 is set to measure, this will change the view to ISO then open the measure box. I've found that all the buttons to the left of the navigation cap are executing the commands for the buttons to the right of the navigation cap before executing their assigned command. I've performed a clean install several times, always ensuring to delete any remaining files and registry keys before rebooting and attempting a clean install. 3DConnexion help had me create a log file which states ..."11:39:56.314: SSP_LCD:WriteFile: Error <13:Permission denied> opening file <C:\Users\winjo\AppData\Roaming\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg\LCDCfg.xml>". I do have administrator rights on my computer and am able to open, edit and save this file with no problem. Any help with this issue would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thank you,
John

The error is probably a conflict with the LCD applet trying to read the file at the same time the driver is trying to write it. The driver will just try to write it again a bit later.

We ran a test and found out that the device is defective.
