Hi there,
I'm trying to install my SpacePilot on my new Windows 7 machine, but with no success. I get the following error message:
Error 1327.invalid drive I:\
Running Windows 7 64 bit, I've downloaded the latest installer package. It's located on my C: drive.

Re: Install Problem - Win7 64 Bit - Error 1327
Sorry to drag up a thread from the grave.
I am experiencing this problem and I reviewed the KB article and it does look like the registry settings in question are different. However, my company maps the "My Documents" folders through the registry settings to a mapped network drive. Therefore, the drive in question is valid even though the install doesn't like it.
If I edit the settings for the install, I imagine that when I revert back to the mapped drive the software is going to fail in some fashion.
Is there some other fix for this?
Thanks.

Hi dnesthus,
I suggest that you exit the driver daemon (right-click on systray icon and select exit), then revert the changes to the Registry and reboot.
I would expect the opposite: the software ought to work fine after reverting the changes to the Registry. If I edit the settings for the install, I imagine that when I revert back to the mapped drive the software is going to fail in some fashion.

The IT guy came by while I was looking at stuff and gave me a dos command to fix the pointing issue. This is on a W7x64 machine.
subst [new drive] c:\
In my case that is "subst y: c:\". this worked out great and I didn't have to touch the registry.
Thanks anyway.
