Lost Pan, Explorer, Inv 2010, W7

Post by Johnny C! »

I had lost zoom & both pans yesterday, but found
the L/R, U/D & Zoom unchecked in properties.
I have corrected all of those, but I cannot
restart L/R pan.
I have rebooted several times.

Hello Johnny C -

Returning the Inventor profile settings to defaults should restore all of the axis directions.

With Inventor open and having the SpaceExplorer focus ['Inventor - login name' will be shown at the top of 3Dconnexion Properties] choose Options- Restore all Defaults. Confirm to restore defaults then check whether that restores full navigation.

If not, that would mean the profile is corrupted - you can remove the Inventor custom profiles with
Options - Delete Saved Configurations then restart Inventor.

If restoring defaults and removing profiles does not fix it , you can use the clean install steps to return to original settings.

Barbara,
Everytime I open the properties window the profile
is set to Windows Explorer. I can change it manually,
but it always reverts back to Explorer.
Also, I don't find a properties window exactly like
you describe. All I can find is Restore Page Defaults
at the bottom of the 3DC Properties window.
Is that it?

Thanks!

John

Hello Johnny C -

The 'Restore Page Defaults' option is in the beta driver. The steps I gave you are for the released driver.

There is a separate forum for the beta driver [3DxWare 10 Beta Forum]. Using 'Restore Page Defaults' on the Advanced Motion tab generally should restore the axis directions. If not , please ask in the beta forum . The engineers working with the beta driver reply there and they can help you correct the problem.
