USING SPACE EXPLORER WITH REMOTE CONNECTION

Post by pbutler »

I have the requirement to remote connect to my PC while working in different office.
We are using 'logmein' to remote connect and the software is NX, all mouse functions etc, work fine, but I am unable to use the 3D SpaceExplorer, is there a way to also use this?

Hello pbutler -

In order to use the 3Dconnexion devices remotely, the software forwarding the USB output needs to be able to recognize and forward the output from a 3d device. Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) does not.

Currently there is only one remote application certified for 3Dconnexion devices - Hewlett Packard's Remote Graphics Software. It is listed on our Supported Applications page as 'RGS Workstation Edition'.

This thread also mentions another possible solution.
