Sorry the SpacePilot is a Legacy device.
Driver update support ended 31-Mar-2013 .

But you can try the driver for the SpaceMouse Pro (3DxSoftware 3.17.7). It should recognize your SpacePilot and installs the plugin for SolidWorks 2014.

Hello averell -

When the 3DControl add-in is installed but there is no navigation in SolidWorks, the problem is usually permissions. While the SpacePilot is beyond extended support, this is something that is the same for all of the current devices and SolidWorks versions. It is a requirement in Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 that the permissions for an add-in match the permissions for the application.

When SolidWorks is installed with elevated permissions [Run as administrator] the 3Dconnexion software requires the same permissions.

Changing the permissions to match the SolidWorks permissions is described here.
