Solidworks 2013 Problem with Space Navigator

Post by Treize_xsb »

Hi,

I've rencently purchased a space navigator and installed the newest 3DxWare 10 driver.
It's beening working really well with my PTC Creo 2.0 Parametric.

However when used in Solidworks 2013, when rotation is on, a model would disappear with even the slightest touch of the cap.
It seems that model rotation is locked on one axis (sometimes X sometimes Y, randomly), and the rotation center is far, far, far away from where it was supposed to be, that has caused this.

I made sure that i have not lock on any axis myself. And with rotation turned off, pan and zoom with the 3D mouse is working fine.

I tried everything, switch "RX/RY/RZ only" on and off, re-install driver, calibrate......to no avail.

And sometimes, perhaps once in 50 times, it will working perfectly without this problem.

Really weired......
Can somebody please help?

Hello Treize_xsb -

Is the Auto rotation center option selected ?

To correct problems with the location of the rotation center, you can un-check Auto rotation and manually select the rotation center using CTRL-Middle mouse button. To release a selected rotation point you can use CTRL+MMB and click on empty space [3Dconnexion Properties - Advanced ].
