Maya 2014-No Control Panel

Post by JudPratt »

In Maya 2014 with the SpaceExplorer, I am not getting the control panel that is shown below and in the 3DConnexion help file. I only get the 'regular' Windows contextual menu. The plug-in is definitely loaded and I do have the 3DConnexion menu in the menu bar. The only item available in the menu bar is 'Customize Buttons.' The plug-in show as version 4.3.7.9426 for API version 201400. This is the first time I've installed this software on this particular machine.

Thanks for the help

Hello JudPratt -

The popup menu shown in your second screenshot is the one in the current 3DxMaya add-in. The first screenshot shows the options in an older 3Dconnexion software version. The current popup menu replaces the options panel that was in the older software. The option 'Disable rolling' in the older panel is replaced by 'Lock horizon' in the new one. 'Button mapping editor' is replaced by 'Customize buttons'. Options for the dominant filer and speed | sensitivity are now located in 3Dconnexion Properties.

The screenshot in the help file is from the older software. The 3DMouse News window that opens in Maya when the 3DxMya add-in is installed shows the new popup window to indicate the change from the one shown in the help file.
