Space Navigator and 3DConnexion Emulator

Hey guys,

I'm having a bit of an odd problem with the latest software for my Space Navigator.

I installed the latest drivers, and the device works flawlessly. However, whenever I unplug the device from the USB port, there is still an emulator that is being recognized by Windows. I probably should have read the readme files, or done more research on this software, but this emulator is screwing with my game controllers.

I am heavy into racing sims, but I need the Space Navigator for my other interests (3D modeling and CAD software). So, it's not as if I can keep uninstalling the drivers every time I want to use my racing sims.

This emulator is showing up as a game controller. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, it's taking priority over my other game controllers (steering wheel, shifter, pedals). What this means is that when I use the in game "detect controller" button, it's detecting the emulator instead of the steering wheel, like it's supposed to.

Is there a way to disable this emulator somehow? It's beginning to annoy me beyond belief. As I said, I don't want to have to uninstall the drivers each time I want to race in the sim. Unplugging the device does nothing, btw. The emulator is still recognized in the sims.

Anyone have any suggestions?

There will be a "HID-compliant game controller" listed in your device manager. Disable that (right click).
