Looking for good advise on mouse emulation latest software

I Bought a SpaceMouse Wireless with the intention to replace a normal x-y mouse with it. Was a little confused that this didn't work although I read about it.

Turns out it either requires the 'old' beta drivers from 3DxWare or fiddling with XML files. However the old drivers are nowhere to be found and it seems to me as if the XML stuff isn't well documenten.

Could anyone help me and tell how to get mouse emulation to work (in any application)?

Hey, kim. I found some of the old beta drivers on my hard drive. They're the 64-bit Windows versions. Let me know which one you want and I can put them on Dropbox or a similar service.
