Spacepilot Pro with NX-Ideas

Hello,

is there a way to make the Spacepilot Pro work with NX-Ideas. I mean assign the fit function to e.g. "zoom all" and also the view (left, ight) buttons to views. Currently this not woking (at my Win7 PC) as the fit key and the view keys have no function. Would be nice if there is anyone who knows a way to make it work.

Hello Jack048,

you can assign any keyboard shortcut to one of the buttons. See our help file how to do that. Check in NX-Ideas which would be the appropriate shortcut for the function you want to execute.

The reason that the commands are not yet available is that the driver doesn't provide a default configuration for NX-Ideas. but you can easily create your own configuration.

thanks for your reply...at least the fit function is assigned now via shortcut. Any other command in I-deas is connected to a prompt... e.g. for reset view to x-y plane it is "/V R".
Therefore it would be helpfull,and not only for the application I-deas, when Macro assignment in 3Dconnexion driver would not just feature keystrokes, but also strings like shown....maybe I am also wrong, because it would not work then.

I assume that you just need to create a macro. You can fin a section in our documentation: "Buttons -> Creating Macros" that does what you need. By creating a macros you can assign a string with as many keys as you need.
