Can't get setup to change for different programs

Post by rr299 »

I've installed the most recent driver for a spacenavigator. I recently had this working but had to reformat my PC.

I am unable to get it to work properly.

First issue... If I try to run the trainer it doesn't work. The teapot never moves it just moves the mouse cursor.

Second issue... when I run properties the set up just gets stuck on desktop mode. I am actually trying to change the buttons for ProE / Creo. With Creo open and active, the properties panel remains in desktop mode.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled etc etc but no joy.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Do you have 3DxWare 10.2.3 installed?

Try FAQ #1100.

Had a similar problem.
Was working in Solidworks
Playing with the radial menus by choosing different options.
Trying to find something I would like to use.
Looked in 2D mouse area hoping to find a toggle to turn of rotation when working in sketches or what not.
Sometimes I just want to move around zooming and panning but not rotating.
WELL
It jammed the 3Dmouse into Desktop mode.
Did exactly what the moderator suggested in FAQ #1100 (including making a system restore point).

WORKED!
back up and running
still looking for a FAST way of toggling rotation on/off
