SpacePilot Pro stays on Initialization Screen.
Hi,
I just received my SpacePilot Pro today. I have installed the drivers and followed instructions but the device itself does not seem to be recognized by my system.
So I followed the uninstall instructions given to others by 3DConnexion. Did the reinstall and same problem. It powers on but just shows the Initialization Screen.
I have:
Started Driver
Stopped Driver
turned off security software
Uninstall as outlined
reinstalled as outlined
It is plugged into a USB 2 plug (all plugs tested) directly on the motherboard (the plugs have been tested and work).
Win7 64
Latest Drivers for the SpacePilot.
Thank you
I tried unplugging it and holding the 1&2 Keys - for 15 seconds while plugged back in (firmware thing I read).
What should I try next?

Re: SpacePilot Pro stays on Initialization Screen
Just to update;
I have tested on 2 other computers with exactly same result.
Stays on Initialization Screen.
Does this sound like a defective unit? Or a configuration problem?
Just seems odd that the device is not recognized/detected by the computer systems.
Will wait for advice here or return it to Amazon.

In case you need to know:
do you see the device in the device manager listed under "Human Interface Devices"? No
Have you tried if it makes a difference if you unplug the 3D mouse and plug it in again? Yes
Have you tried different USB ports? Yes
Does the driver start? Do you see the little 3Dconnexion icon in the system tray? Yes

Re: SpacePilot Pro stays on Initialization Screen
Hummm - me thinks this is a defective unit.
I have read through 30 pages in the forums now and does not seem anyone else reports a similar problem - outside of one guy plugging it into a USB 3 plug, which mine is not.
I fell like I could offer support now after reading so many post of problems and cures - haha
I believe I ruled out firmware problem since if it is not even detected how could I update firmware.
I did submit "ticket" to tech support and will give a few more days before returning this.
Does look like a nice device and I am looking to speed up my workflow. So not giving up.
System spec (if it helps):
MotherBoard: ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition

Hi NeedToKnow,
I apologize that you encounter trouble with your SpacePilot Pro. Yes, you did all the possible troubleshooting. And yes, it sounds like a defective device for me, too.
And yes, I feel too like you could offer support now.
You did well in contacting our First Level Support Team. I couldn't find your request for now. Let me know in case you have problems. (You can send me a PM then.)

Re: SpacePilot Pro stays on Initialization Screen
Thanks UtaSH,
I did hear back from support but it was the response to hold the 1&2 keys down. So that did not work.
I believe I am going to start a return on this. As I have tried everything on the forums.
I appreciated your responding.
