Creo 3 slow environment changes

Post by technobabbler »

I have a SpaceNavigator and CADMouse and am running Creo 3. I just updated my driver to 10.4.4 (clean re-install) and am running into issues when changing environments in Creo. If I open an assembly and go to customize buttons through the Tools tab, the correct window pops up for the active environment (Creo Parametric - Assembly). However, if I open a part file after the assembly and go to customize buttons, the popup window is still active for the assembly environment, not the part's. Furthermore, the mapped buttons for assembly functions are still active in the part environment. It takes about 30 seconds for it to recognize the environment change after I switch, and then everything seems to work okay. I thought maybe I messed something up, so I clean uninstalled and put driver 10.2.2 back on, and it works perfectly and switches environments instantaneously. Anyone else have this issue with the new driver?

Hi technobabbler,

please uninstall 3DxWare 10.2.4 and install the previous version - 3DxWare 10.2.3. You can download it from our archive page. Let me know if you still see the same problem.

(We have found a problem with 3DxWare 10.2.4 and Creo. We are tracking this with our internal bug number #6902.)
