gesture(cadm) and buttons (spacem pro) don't work on startup

Post by inventorwizard »

Hi,

After windows startup or of you don't have any active aplication open, the gesture button on the cadmouse and the menu button on the spacemouse pro don't work.
You need at least open up one application for them to work.
This is annoying behavior, since you can not use your buttons/gesture button to start up programs if there is nothing running already.
With the cd-rom driver you can, but since that one is not supporting the Cadmouse, this is no option.

Can this be fixed?
 So when you have nothing in Windows open, you can still use the buttons?

Hi inventorwizard,

on the product page for the CadMouse it says "The gesture button opens an application or environment-specific radial menu so you can access your favorite commands with a simple mouse gesture." This means the radial menu from the gesture button is related to the active application and if there is no active application nothing can be launched. If you launch any application and then close it the gesture button still shows the radial menu for the last used application.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply,
Indeed, that's how today it is programmed. With previous releases of drivers this was not the case. You could use these buttons to startup a program even when nothing is hoping.

So, I see this as a change request or idea.
If there is no program running, it would be nice to still have the gesture button doing something or the possibility that if there is no program running that you can still put a function behind this button.
