Autocad 2000-Auto Regen does not stay activated

Post by 3dcmark »

I'm enjoying my new SpaceNavigator especially since I discovered that checking the Auto Regen button on the Autocad add-in allows transparent pan and zoom within a command. However, I find that I must check this box again every time I restart Autocad. Is there any way to get Auto Regen to stay checked?

Also, I downloaded and installed the add in named 3DxAutoCAD16_v3-2-9_win32.exe, yet the when I click the cube icon it is listed as V3.2.8.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi 3dcmark,

I suppose you mean the "Auto Regen" button in the Add-In. In fact this is a limitation of AutoCAD, the settings are only valid for the current AutoCAD session. All the settings you change for the 3D mouse will be saved and restarting AutoCAD they will be so available as you left AutoCAD but unfortunately they will not be saved if you stop AutoCAD - restarting you will have the default values.

Hi apoenczi,
Does that issue go away with later versions of AutoCad?

What about the second issue from my original post regarding the version displayed on the add in vs the filename?

Thanks for the info,

Hi 3cdmark

First issue with "Auto Regen" - this is an AutoCAD setting and there is at the time no plan to change this.

The second issue: Sorry for omitting that. Unfortunately there is an inconsistency between these 2 records. The Add-In name is the right one, the Readme.txt file wasn't updated properly.

It would be great if next driver issue can do that automatically.
Think about it 3dx people!

Hi guys,
fighting that issue for a while, today i came to a solution that might not be the "professionell-programmers" way, but
