I recently got a new computer with windows 10 pro on it and i would like to use my spacepuck with autodesk inventor professional 2016. looking online for drivers it says that the last ones available were for windows vista (3dconnexion.com). is there any way that i can get this one working so i don't have to buy a new one??
any help is much appreciated.

we do not have a driver for the legacy devices. We only have drivers for the operating systems that were available when the products were launched. You can try if you can install the driver for the SpaceTraveler for Windows XP on Windows 10. But I don't know if this works and this is not an officially supported solution. Sorry.
