64-bit 2.6.xx driver available?

Post by winny »

My unsupported but fully functional setup SpaceMouse Plus serial, Windows XP 64-bit and SolidWorks required me to lift an old driver around 2.6.xx for 64-bit XP and a SolidWorks plugin from a later version (2.8.xx on the legacy section works fine), but since then I had to reinstall and I can't find the old driver CD anymore. Heck, even finding that one in the first place was a hassle but I diged though the pile of driver CDs at work and they had used 3Dconnexion products since the SpaceBall-era so no problem there.

Does anyone still have it?

Hello winny,

the driver 2.8.2 from the archive driver download site should work for the SpaceMouse Plus serial.

Hi!

Not for 64-bit. The installation program does run and all the plugins are installed but the driver isn't. If I extract the driver installer from the package,, then you can actually see the error message produced that it failed to install.

I'm thinking about hijacking an 32-bit installation, inject the 64-bit driver and force run it that way, but an old 2.6.xx CD would be far easier.

Select the CadMan as device on the archive page. There is a 64bit driver for it. This one should recognize the SpaceMouse Plus serial, too.
