Opening SpaceNavigator Properties leaves green box on screen

Whenever I open the SpaceNavigator Properties a second empty box opens with it. It's just a green border that sits on the screen with nothing in it and no way to close it. It comes up on top of any other window that I open and so far the only way I've come up with to get rid of it is to reboot the computer. I'm using Windows 10, the latest driver for the SpaceNavigator.
I opened the properties and took a screen shot while typing this to show what I mean.

Then closed the properties and the empty box is still there on top of this window and no way to get rid of it.


Any ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it?

I don't know if this will help but in trying to figure out how to get rid of the green box without rebooting I noticed that if I open the Task Manager there are 3 task running. 3DxNIService, 3Dxradialmenus and 3Dxservice but after open the properties for SpaceNavigator and I get the green box there are 2 of each of those task running. If I end both tasks of 3Dxradialmenus the green box will go away.

this is something rather weird. I haven't yet heard of such a problem.

Can you generate a log file of the driver as described here? I will inform you where to send it.
