Problems after upgrade

Post by Rob K »

Hi all,

I'm an Autodesk Inventor user and heavily use my space navigator. I recently went through an upgrade on my computer going to Windows 10 and installing Inventor 2017 along with the 3Dconnexion software 10.4.4 an on using Inventor found that trying to use my space navigator has almost become impossible. I can't stop my models from rotating when I take my hands off the puke, and when I try to calibrate it the situation is worse!

Have any other Inventor 2017 users out there had this issue?

Thanks for you help in advanced.

Hello Rob K,

this seem to be related to the device itself and not the driver or Inventor.

Have you tried if unplugging and re-plugging the 3D mouse fixes the issue?
Have you tried other USB ports?

Please check if you have normal navigation behavior in other applications. For example the 3Dcxonnexion Viewer.

Hi Utash,

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried what you have suggested and I get the same behaviour using the 3Dcxonnexion Viewer. So you think that it is the hardware and not the software? Seems strange as I never had these problems before I upgraded to Windows 10 and 10.4.4!

I'll take my space navigator to work tomorrow and see what happens on that computer. I'll get back to you soon.

Many thanks.
