Greetings,
Is it possible to assign keystrokes to the SpaceNavigator for movement? I have an older Windows programs that use keystrokes for movement. Also, I spend a great deal of time in Visio and Smartdraw creating HUGE network maps and was wondering if the SpaceNavigator would work in those programs as well.
Best regards,

Re: SpaceNavigator Presales Questions
Hello thedude0901 -
The short answer is no, but I will explain the reason. The Space Navigator software is intended for applications that recognize the input from 3d devices. Our new 3DxWare drivers add navigation in web browsers and Microsoft Office applications.
The ability to configure keystroke navigation in other applications has been tested in beta versions of the software. It was found to be useful in some applications - but that varies greatly depending on the application. Since keyboard navigation is not something that works well in all applications, an editor to configure keyboard emulation for navigation is not part of the current Space Navigator software.

Has there been any progress on this? even just a scroll in both directions and visio would really save my wrist

Hi jfg3799,
the current driver - 3DxWare 10 - addresses all applications with a keyboard-mouse emulation. You should be able to scroll up and down with the 3D mouse by tilting the cap forward and backward.
