ANSYS Aim support?

Post by Vinny »

I just bought the SpaceNavigator because I loved having one for NX during my summer internship, but in ANSYS Aim 17.2 all I can get it to do is zoom in and out on the object. I have "spaceball" checked in the Options>Graphics Interactions and am running Windows 10 x64. On the supported software ANSYS is not listed as 'certified', but I would be very surprised if I couldn't get any more functionality out of it. I've reinstalled drivers and restarted everything a couple times now. If there is no support, are there any 3rd party applications that will give me some more abilities??

Hello Vinny,

I don't know about ANSYS-AIM, but Ansys itself is listed as supported applications.

Anyway, you need to contact ANSYS to get information about whether ANSYS-AIM supports our 3D mouse devices and what exactly has to be done to activate thie support for the 3D mouse. We do not have more detailed information about ANSYS nor a license. :(
