Hi Lunar 7,

NX5 support is available since 3DxSoftware v. 3.3.6.

The latest version of 3Dconnexion software can be downloaded from here.

OK,

That's what I thought, Am running 3.4.2, but don't get the same splash screen, menu Items or correct display on the Space pilot, Plus a Major difference in the response of the SP between NX4 & NX5.

Every thing still works OK om NX4, but not with NX5.

Any suggestions ?

Do you mean in terms of controlling / navigating the view?

Yes,

Manipulating objects/views in NX5 is sluggish, like the sensitively has been turned right down

Hi Lunar 7

Could you work with the plug-in in NX5?

What operating system do you have? And what is the release number from NX5?

Hi Lunar 7,
Now have the tool bar, but response is still sluggish.
Did you try to increase the speed (sensitivity) in the control panel for 3D mice in NX?

Hi,

Have tried that

I currently have NX4, NX5 & I-deas 12m4 on the same machine, could that be causing the problem ?

I believe not.

When you compare the performance of NX5 against NX4, do you use the same document? And if using a simple model, is there a difference in performance?

At this stage I'm comparing simple a simple block feature in both versions, NX5 is slower to move

Can you not increase the speed? Or is the issue that the movement feels jerky (low frame rates)?

Can increase the speed, upping it in NX5, then having to turn it back down when I go back to 4

Does it then work as you would expect (same sort of performance as in NX4)?

Are you setting the speed on the application panel (not the driver)? That should allow for some differentiation. If you use the driver control panel, then you will be changing the speed for both NX5 and NX4.

OK, If I change the speed I can get similar performance between NX4 & NX5,

The remaining problem is that I can't access the button configuration utility r any of the commands from the 3Dware tool bar inside NX5.

The tool bar works in NX4 but Not NX5
