Good morning;
I've got a Dell M6600 that I use with a SpaceNavigator and SolidWorks 2015. I recently installed SSD's, reinstalled windows 8.1, SW2015 and 3DxWare 10 for Windows (64-bit) [10.4.10].
Windows starts and the driver starts (the blue LEDs come on) but, the driver doesn't recognize when SolidWorks starts. If I open the 3DConnexion control panel, It says "Windows Explorer". The only way to get it to work right is to "Stop Driver" and then "Start Driver" again by right clicking and choosing "Run as Administrator".
Previously, installations have always been trouble-free. Is there something I'm missing/forgetting?

Re: Driver not starting correctly
Hi Brian,
the driver and the application have to run at the same user level and it seems your SolidWorks is running as administrator. Then the driver has to run as administrator as well. See here.

Hmmm...
Doesn't seem to be the problem. Both SolidWorks and 3DConnexion programs run without elevated permissions.

OK...
After trying the advice given here and elsewhere; I uninstalled 10.4.10 and installed 10.3.0.
Everything now works as it should.
