Enterprise loses button functions in SolidWorks

Post by r_haman »

Hello All,
Recently my Space Mouse Enterprise as started losing functionality with Solidworks. When this happens, I am still able to use the joy stick to manipulate the part or assembly, but the display and buttons remain as though I am within a Windows application like my desktop. Thus far the only way I've found to resolve this to shut down and reboot.

Possibly related: Occasionally the mouse doesn't activate when the PC is started. To fix this I have been unplugging and re-plugging the USB.

Related Info:
Windows 7
SolidWorks 2015
3DxWare Driver 10.5.1 (Just installed today)

Thank you for any insight.

Hello r_haman,

have you tried if stopping and restarting the driver would be also a fix? Then you don't have to reboot your machine.

I kindly ask you to contact our Technical Support Team and provide a log file. See here how to do that. We need a log file from a situation where the device start to fail.

I'm experiencing the same problem. SpaceMouse wireless. Change button assignent in properties and the settigns never get applied to the buttons although the newly assigned buttons is correctly displayed in the settings dialog.

Hi Galantea,

this is a known bug with our wireless devices in 3DxWare 10.5.1 and we have fixed it in our latest driver release - 3DxWare 10.5.2. Please download the installaer from our website and update your machine.
