Spacenavigator Up/down axis is mixed with sideways movement

If I press/pull the knob, it also moves the model or view in other random directions. If the other axes are locked, only then does it move it up and down properly. Please see the screen capture video I made. I used the mouse on the default trainer.

And I've been using it for 2 3 years. Worked like a charm. I suspect dust because there is a LOT of dust here.

thanks for the video. It seems the device is broken.
